Apple bread pie recipe is a simple recipe basically made of sliced bread and sliced apples. The filling is made with sliced apples, sugar or honey, butter and cinnamon powder if available to add fragrance. Instead of using pastry dough, I used flattened sliced bread to wrap the filling. To add texture to the apple pie, I coated it with egg and breadcrumbs. This can be cook deep fried or using air fryer.

How To Make Apple Bread Pie?
Here’s my simple recipe to make 5pcs apple bread pies:
Ingredients:
- 1pc apple
- 5pcs sliced bread
- 1tsp cornstarch
- 1tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 25g butter
- 1pc egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2cups cooking oil for frying
Instructions:
- Peel off the apple and slice thinly.
- Preheat a pan and melt 25g butter.
- Add 1tsp cornstarch and stir until dissolve.
- Add the sliced apple and 1tbsp honey or brown sugar.
- Simmer for 1-2 mins.
- Transfer the filling mixture to a plate and let it cool down.
- While waiting, flatten the sliced bread using a rolling pin.
- Fill in the flatten bread with cooked apple, roll, and seal the edge using a fork.
- Beat 1pc egg mix with 1tbsp water.
- Dip the apple pie roll in egg and coat with bread crumbs.
- Preheat a pan with 2 cups of cooking oil.
- Deep fry the apple pie roll until golden brown. You can use air fryer if available.
