Steamed banana cupcakes are a type of cupcake that is made by steaming the batter instead of baking it in the oven. They have a soft, moist texture and a subtle banana flavor. Steaming the cupcakes gives them a slightly denser and more pudding-like consistency compared to traditional baked cupcakes.
To make steamed banana cupcakes, ripe bananas are mashed and combined with sugar, oil, vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. The batter is then poured into cupcake molds or small ramekins and steamed over boiling water for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
Steaming the cupcakes provides gentle and even heat, which helps to retain moisture and create a tender texture. The resulting cupcakes are often served warm or at room temperature, and they can be enjoyed as a tasty treat or a simple dessert. Steamed banana cupcakes are a popular choice for those who prefer an alternative to traditional baked goods or for individuals who do not have access to an oven.
